A photograph is supposed to tell a story, right? Hear me out. This double exposure photograph was meant to tell the story of how my child loves piano and hunting. While it does tell this, it also tells a much deeper story.
While looking at this photograph, it kept speaking to me per-say. I saw so much more than just a boy who loves piano and hunting. Sometimes in life, things are thrown at you that you’d never expect. People change. Life gets busy and sometimes hard and that’s ok. It’s all part of it.
Sometimes you have to walk away though to keep your own peace and the peace of your family. Walking away is so hard, especially when it’s from the people closest to us. In this photograph, I see someone slowly walking away as a weight is lifted off their shoulders, while peaceful music plays in the background.
Let this be your reminder - it’s ok to not be ok, it’s ok to make big changes, it’s ok to step back or walk away, even from family. You do not have to live in fear or constant stress. While I never intended for this to be the meaning, it definitely resonates.
